Um dos Beatles, John Lennon tinha um gosto musical eclético. O cantor e compositor gostava de nomes do Rockabilly, como Chuck Berry, Little Richard e especialmente Elvis Presley, do Soul e do R&B de Otis Redding e Stevie Wonder, e foi fã da cena Punk do anos 70.
